About us

Fellmont Outdoors is a small UK outfit selling practical kit for people who would rather be outside — or who just want a torch that works when the power goes.

What we actually are

We are not a factory and we do not pretend to be. We find equipment that does a job well, we write up what it is honestly, and we sell it. Our stock ships from supply partners overseas, which is why delivery takes 6 to 10 business days rather than arriving tomorrow. We would rather tell you that on the way in than have you find out from a tracking page.

Why we started

Outdoor retail has a habit of selling either expensive gear aimed at expeditions most of us will never go on, or cheap gear that fails the first time it matters. Most people are somewhere in the middle: a few nights under canvas a year, a bike commute in the dark, a power cut in February, a dog that needs walking whatever the weather.

That middle ground is what we stock.

How we write about things

Every product page gives you the figures we can stand behind and says so plainly when a figure is not published. If a lamp's runtime depends on which brightness you use, we say that instead of quoting the best case. If a helmet has no published certification, we tell you on the page rather than burying it.
