How long will it run on one charge?

There is no single honest answer, which is why we are not printing one. With up to eight brightness levels, the runtime between the lowest setting and 800 lumens differs by many hours. The useful habit is to check the digital display before you leave and ride on the lowest level that lets you see.

Is it legal to use on the road in the UK?

UK law requires a white front light and a red rear light when riding at night, plus reflectors, and there are rules about flashing rates. This set gives you a white front and a red rear, but we cannot certify it against the regulations for you - check the current requirements and your local rules before relying on it.

Will 800 lumens dazzle oncoming traffic?

It can, which is a genuine courtesy issue on shared paths and country lanes. Angle the beam down towards the road rather than straight ahead, and drop to a lower level when there is someone coming. That is also what the eight levels are for.

Can I leave the lights on the bike in the rain?

They are built for everyday rain resistance, so a shower while you are riding or locked up is fine. There is no published IP rating, so we would not leave them outside all winter. The bracket releases in seconds, so take them in.

Does the rear light have its own battery?

Yes - the front and rear are separate units, each charged by USB. The 1800mAh figure and the power bank function refer to the front light, which is the larger of the two.

Which option is the best value?

The sets work out cheaper than buying both lights separately, and you need both to ride legally at night. Buy a single light only if you are replacing one you already have.
