Measure your head before ordering - only the 56 to 61cm size is stocked. Set the retention dial so the helmet sits level and does not move when you shake your head. Replace the helmet after any crash or hard knock. EPS crushes once, and the damage is usually invisible from outside. Wash the lining by hand in mild soap; do not machine wash the helmet. Clean the shell with mild soap and water only - solvents, petrol and strong cleaners attack EPS and polycarbonate. Do not store it in a hot car or in direct sun for long periods, and do not paint it or fit stickers that are not supplied with it. Check the certification label inside the helmet when it arrives and contact us if anything about it is unclear.

Fit first

A helmet only works if it fits.

Everything else on this page is secondary to this. The **retention dial** should hold the helmet **level on your head, not tipped back**, snug enough that it does not move when you shake your head. The **straps form a V under each ear** and the buckle sits under the chin with room for one finger. **Measure around your head** above the eyebrows before ordering.

Construction

In-mould, not glued together.

**In-mould** means the tough **PC outer shell** is bonded to the **shock-absorbing EPS core** during manufacture, so the two work as one piece rather than as a shell taped onto a liner. It is the standard construction on modern helmets, and it is what keeps the weight down without making the shell flimsy.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size is it, and how do I check I will fit?

Only one size is stocked: 56 to 61cm, usually labelled L. Take a tape measure around your head about a centimetre above your eyebrows and across the widest part at the back. If you land outside that range, this is not the helmet for you - a helmet that does not fit does not protect you, and no amount of dial adjustment fixes being outside the range.

What safety standard does it meet?

We are not going to print a standard we have not verified. Check the certification label moulded or printed inside the helmet when it arrives - a helmet sold in the UK should carry a UKCA or CE mark against EN 1078. If what you find does not satisfy you, send it back; we would rather that than have you wear something you are not confident in.

How should it sit on my head?

Level, with the front edge about two finger-widths above your eyebrows - not tipped back showing your forehead, which is the single most common mistake. Tighten the dial until it stays put when you shake your head, set the side straps into a V just below each ear, and leave one finger of room under the chin buckle.

When do I need to replace it?

After any crash or hard impact, without exception, even if you cannot see any damage. The EPS core works by crushing, and it only does that once - a helmet that has taken a hit can look perfect and offer almost nothing the second time. Many manufacturers also suggest replacing a helmet every few years regardless, as materials age.

Is it suitable for mountain biking as well as road?

It is a lightweight vented road and general-purpose helmet, so it suits commuting, gravel, road and ordinary trail riding. If you ride technical descents, jumps or anything where you are regularly going over the bars, look at a helmet with more rear coverage or a full-face.

Can I use it for skateboarding or scooting?

No. Skate and BMX helmets are built and certified to different standards because the impacts are different - more frequent, and more often to the back and sides of the head. Use a helmet made for the activity you are doing.

It’s a little tight but it’s good

The product images gave the impression of a more premium-looking helmet, and in person the quality is just decent for the price. it is extremely lightweight, to the point where you can almost forget you have a helmet on. i’m not quite sure yet whether that is entirely a good thing, but it certainly makes it comfortable to wear. i’m still testing it, particularly in terms of comfort and durability over longer rides, so these are my initial impressions.
